The Henry County Water Authority (HCWA) is committed to its fundamental objective as a public utility: to provide and protect an adequate water supply and system, which includes wastewater collection and treatment, of the highest quality, while meeting or exceeding all regulatory requirements as economically possible and in an environmentally-sound manner, for the growing residential. Under the $25 Plan, it is a simple three step process for eligible customers to keep their water flowing: Residents without water, or who have received a door hanger indicating that they are at risk of service interruption, will only need to call Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency at to make an appointment.

Implementation: Significance for urban planning. Because of the significance of water for planning processes, the term ‘water sensitive urban design’ has evolved (Eisenberg et al., ). It enables the closing of water and resource circuits and the emergence of urban natural water balance. This is less of a restriction, but holds in Author: Danijela Milosevic, Martina Winker. The One Water concept for integrated water resource management, which encourages planning for water by considering all aspects of water use, wastewater disposal, runoff management, surface .

Building on this success is a foundational element of the Water plan. A diverse supply portfolio. The Water Authority currently enjoys six sources of supply: surface water, groundwater, aquifer storage and recovery (ASR), non-potable surface water for turf irrigation, and two reuse projects for turf irrigation.   The Belton-Honea Path Water Authority is planning to use a phosphate-based additive called orthophosphate in its treatment processes to try to reduce the elevated levels of lead.
